Travel (beauty) packing

I'm leaving for Virginia in a couple of weeks to visit my family and being my planning, OCD self, I have already started thinking about what I need to pack, especially beauty stuff (cause let's face it, that's the fun part). So here is a jumble of things i think i'll pack and what i'm thinking of:

Facial Sunscreen
Cleanser
Toner
Moisturizer (ps. just got a new bottle of shiseido and the smell is different!! I don't like it :(
Spot treatment
Eye cream (eczema medication, it's been bad with the heat)
Hand cream
Concealer (Just in case i break out a little, i doubt it, it will be at a good time of august)

I'm not bringing shampoo and conditioner because we won't be gone long enough for me not be able to prolong not washing it.

I'll probably add as i start packing... I'll let you guys know

Sorry about the delay, but i was super lazy last week cause it was 1000°C everyday

This really helped me narrow down: http://www.viviannadoesmakeup.com/the-vdm-guide-to-holiday-beauty-packing/

Lush Products I Need To Try

Hey,

So, I have a love/hate relationship with lush. I have tried a couple of their products but not all have worked for me and I find most of their stuff a little overpriced. However, they will always suck me in. Therefore, now that i'm working and have a bit of money to spend, here are the products I would like to try.

The Olive Branch Shower Gel

When I last went to the store when i was putting together a christmas spa kit for my best friend, i was hesitating between this one and hippy happy. I chose hippy happy cause it smelled like sunshine, which goes well with her bubbly personality, but the olive branch one also smelled amazing (and goes well with my personality).

Sugar Scrub

I am quite chubby and as i try to get into shape this summer, i would like to get rid of the cellulite in my thighs. Plus, who doesn't love a good scrub? :P

Grease Lightning

I don't have bad skin or very frequent pimple breakouts, but i do get them and this would help take care of them quickly and naturally. I never had acne scarring (mostly cause i never had acne) but i don't want to start now.

Creamed Almond and Coconut Smoothie

I tried this at the store mixed with the ocean salt and it felt amazing and left my skin super soft and moisturized. I'm not prepared to dish out the money both at the same time, so i thought, since the smoothie is more useful than the ocean salt, i would buy this one first.

My dream bed essentials

This is my first orgnaization/room decor post!! I decided it should be about what I ideally want for my bed.

My room is blue and medium size, slightly weirdly shaped.

The bed (duvet):

I've had the same duvet since I was seven and I still love it, it went with my old room and still goes with my new one. But I kinda want a new one... These lovely Natalia Duvet Cover and Shams are from PBteen.

The throw pillow:
This is also from PBteen (Ruffle and Rose Lumbar Pillow) but I don't think I would actually buy it. I like it, but I would prefer something a little different from a local store or something. I just wanted to show that kind i'm looking for, meaning long and pink, for an accent in my blue and grey room.

My hair routine!

Hey guys!

I've always had long hair ever since my aunt convinced my mom (who only had brothers and didn't know) that it was at good idea when I was three. I got tired of it around 17 and cut it to my shoulders. WORST IDEA EVER. It didn't suit me at all and I'm still trying to grow it back. I'm still looking for another 7-8 inches so I got layers a couple of weeks ago. So this is what I do to keep it healthy and what I want to try.

My hair is very thick, wavy and goes to the middle of my back. It's reddish brown, is not oily at all and as mentioned above, I have it cut into long layers. Never had bangs nor dyed it.

Summer Hair Routine (I wash it every 5-6 days)
Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo
Aveda Shampure Conditionner

Occasionally, I use this if I want to blow out my hair (I usually let it air dry in a braid overnight)
Moroccanoil Treatment

What i want to try/add to routine
Aveda Be Curly Shampoo: I'll try anything to reduce frizz :)
Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask: For the occasional pampering night
Batiste Dry Shampoo: After workout rescue and when i'm lazy on the 7th day :)
Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo: Every second wash? When shampoo runs out? I just want it :)
Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Reactivating Mist: To define my natural waves in the morning.

See you soon!

Meredith

P.S. The Collin mask didn't work well enough for an overnight revelation for me so I'll use a couple more times before reviewing it.

Taking initiative with my skin care

Being in my very late teens and with my fairly recent obsession with beauty blogs and videos, my skin is becoming very interesting to me; I wish to take better care of it.

Throughout my teenage years, my skin never gave me any serious issues beside the occasional monstrous pimple (i was super lucky. My sister is ten and her skin is worst than mine when i was sixteen, poor girl). Now that I'm only slightly older, my skin is better, but not much has changed except my interest in the matter.

My mom used to be the editor a fashion magazine and she always took extremely good care of my skin, providing me with all the proper products and advice, but I never thought about it much. Also, being very fair skinned, with red undertones and loads of freckles, she always warned me against the sun and other harmful things. I'm pretty much starting with a clean canvas.

My current skin routine (keep in mind that i have good skin. this is pretty basic)
Morning:  Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam (in shower)
L'Occitane Purifying Rice Toner (Not longer sold. NOOOOO)
Pureness Matifying Moisturizer (My skin is not very oily, but i like the effect)
Night (I don't always do this if i'm lazy): La Mer Cleansing Foam (also my mom's...)
                                                                            L'Occitane Purifying Rice Toner
                                                                            Pureness Matifying Moisturizer
Cortizone-10 cream (I have chronic eczema under my eyes)
Pampering myself at night: G.M. Collin Hydramucine Cream-Mask (review after i use it a couple of
                                               times)
If my skin is pimply: Yonka Gommage 305 (Technically it's my mom's...)

Things I'd like to try to try and/or incorporate
- L'Occitane Shea Butter Fabulous Serum
I've tried this a couple of times as samples and I loved it. Would be for occasional use.
- Caudalie Beauty Elixir
It's very talked about in the beauty world and it sounds awesome. Toner replacement when my adored L'Occitane one runs out.
- Lush Popcorn lip scrub (Want the Mint Julep one, but i'm allergic to chocolate)
Liked all the Lush products i've tried and my lips are always in terrible shape.
- Shiseido Urban Environement Oil-Free UV Protector...
Again with my fair skin. I love the brand and it's oil-free, so it won't add shine to my face.

That's all for now... I will update you as I try different things and consult with my mom.
Next post will probably be the review on the Collin mask (results tomorrow morning) or my plans for my hair care routine.

Thanks!!
